PRECISE Trial

IVF Embryo Transfer Timing

What is the study about?

The PRECISE Trial is a randomized controlled study to compare IVF outcomes after fresh embryo transfer on Day 3 to those on Day 5, among patients who have five or fewer fertilized eggs the day after retrieval.

What is the goal?

The goal of the trial is to determine the best day for embryo transfer.

Why participate?

  1. Both Day 3 and Day 5 embryo transfers are common at IVF clinics in the U.S. in patients with five or fewer fertilized eggs. There are no previous data to define which one is better

  2. In this study, the only difference is the randomization of the day of transfer. All other procedures are part of regular IVF care.

What is the compensation?

You will receive $1,000 for your time and effort if you agree and complete the study.

Who is eligible to participate?

  • Age 18-44 years

  • Autologous IVF cycle with fresh Embryo Transfer
